Yes, he’s carefree and doesn’t really want to grow up, but I found him to be a genuinely nice and intelligent man who has a lot of family issues he is trying to work through.

But back to Will and Amy. I found myself laughing rae loud several times.

I don’t want to say what happened and ruin the surprise so I’ll just conclude with: No trivia or quizzes yet. What she didn’t plan on was the attention of Will “The Devil” Darcett. This one is definitely a worthy addition to the list of greats in that area. Amy is trying to throw off her wallflower image. They were found in an uncomfortable situation and they had to get married to stem the impending scandal. He is interesting in the best way possible. The last book left me on such a high but with this book it just kinda dragged on for me during the beginning.

Also, the wager the couple made between each other was just silly to me, and then the REAL conflict of the story wasn’t even fleshed out or resolved until the very end of the book. You’ll see why this is ironic later. I also loved that her change came from within herself and not credited to a man.

She kept worrying about the same things over and over again. However, these were completely dropped after the first few chapters.

I only made it thru to a little passed midway, but the whole time I kept thinking that I had already read this story before even though I had not. While in the middle of what I thought would be somewhat of an emotional ending, it only took about one page to wrap things up and finish the book. And after she and Will are forced into a marriage to avoid scandal, How to Ravish a Rake was an excellent read.


For the brief t that Will is considering marrying an heiress, he notices Amy Hardwick and attempts to compromise her. Although women are frowned upon for engaging in trade during the ‘s, she secretly cuts a deal with a hkw maker and sees her creations cause a ravjsh of a stir.

Will’s family provided the majority of the grins but Will did a great job himself.

Will is keeping a secret from her about his initial true intentions but it appears Amy has her own deception going on. He is the youngest in a large family and as such has learned to focus on his own needs.

Fun read with an adorable couple and scrumptious hero! What she doesn’t count on is the inappropriate-and irresistible-attention lavished on her in a darkened library by rake extraordinaire Will “The Devil” Darcett. It really made her stand out from other wallflower characters and made her more interesting.
